Last Minute To Jaffna – Promo 2006
Last Minute To Jaffna is quite a fresh group from Italy. The birth to the group was just last year. No matter, the music on Promo 2006 sounds rather professional. On the promo here, we have only two pieces but a warning should be on place: Both of the tracks last over 11 minutes.
The music appears, from the first moment and on, atmospheric. The material flows by changing from psychedelic to doomy to whatever. The influences cannot be but wide. The closest bands to compare to L.M.T.J. are in my books, Neurosis and Isis. Of course the tunes come to sound like many other acts as well but those were those two combined, it would sound like this Italian group here.
The vocals are really resembling the ways of Isis. Yelling but not on your face but slightly distant. Anyhow such ways of stretching vocal cords fits in like fist on your face.
Truly this band has material that guarantees future for the band. In fact, it is rumored that there’s some new material coming in the moderately near future. Anyhow bite these songs first (go to the bands homepage and get them) so that you don’t choke when the real deal comes in
